its an independant book, and in 05 70,000 copies were auctioned off...

...so yeah theres a few of em out there

Yeah, it's one of the sad jokes of the Silver Age. Not rare, not worth anything more than $1. Used as packing material by many.

I believe a large quantity of these were heisted at the time of production. If I recall right, only 1500 made it out to military bases at the time of production. The stolen ones sat somewhere for a looong time. Then recently they got dumped on the market.

 

Overstreet 2008 has the story.

 

I see them all the time on Ebay in like new condition.

I bought something once on the board and the person included a copy of this comic for free...Cant remember who it was.

Yeah, there's millions of them floating around. It's a cool thing to have, but not worth anything.

It used to be rare and in demand. Back in the 80s, it was a $5 to $10 book at a time when most SA Marvels were also in the grouping. Then pallets of it turned up.

That cover surely has some Ditko in it - especially the girl.

It's listed as Wood, and definitely Wood did the bulk of it. However Ditko did work on the book, so who knows?

The insert on the cover is Ditko.

As stated, it's used as packing material and cheap giveaways. Someone here on the boards dumped a few hundred a year or two ago.

Filter bought a warehouse lot of them, he was selling them by the case. Pretty book for $1.00, though!
