James McAvoy Cast as Professor Xavier Source: Heat Vision Blog May 27, 2010

 

 

James McAvoy, the Scottish star of Atonement, has been cast as Professor Charles Xavier in the upcoming X-Men: First Class, according to The Heat Vision Blog.

 

McAvoy previously started in the comic book adaptation Wanted. Xavier was previously played by Patrick Stewart in three X-Men films as well as in the Wolverine spinoff, digitally de-aged.

 

X-Men: First Class will be directed by Kick- Matthew Vaughn and produced by former X-Men director Bryan Singer, among others for release on June 2, 2011.

Maybe he Xavier wasn't bald when he was in his mid-20s..he has to be the same (almost) as Magneto, if he was a kid around WW2, then they were 20 something in the 50s..meaning..he was a greaser...hair slicked back, no need for gas....he used telepathic abilities to ride his Motorcycle....

I wonder who Wolverine will be...this is going to be very interesting...

since Wolverine doesn't age as regular folk it should be Hugh Jackman

 

Not only that, but prof X 1st recruited young scott at the end of wolverine. So wolverine was definitely young then (well, relatively speaking).

Nope, Xavier was definitely bald as a young man, and much younger than McAvoy is now:
