Book has ripply front and back cover but not water damage, back scan shows it better. Think it may have been the top or bottom book of a tied bundle. Plan on getting it pressed, yeah yeah I know, and yes I will disclose when I sell.

Well, it looks exactly like water "damage", just not severe. That's what paper does when it gets wet - it ripples. I don't see any banding marks, which would support your theory . . .

I'll go 6.0/6.5...as divad mentions, most likely a result of exposure to moisture...

 

I'm no pressing fan, but I actually believe a book such as this would be an exception for me and a good candidate for a press...

Maybe I'm missing something or been away too long, but that book pressed and as long as the interior paper is not damaged, looks like an 8.5 to me!...
