Hola While note technically original art, it did sell for orginal art type prices.

 

Do people not do research? Someone sold one of the US Starwatcher (limited to 100 S/N) City of Portfolios last year for 1,000.

 

And now someone buys a Dark Horse (smaller and more prevalent 2500 and no signature) version for 1,700?!?!

 

BTW, original cost was 24.99.

Wow! I remember buying this set a very long time ago - I always thought it was very nice (I framed a couple of the plates and hung them around the house), but never realized it had gotten to be so valuable. Neat-o.

Hi; I was the seller and believe me, I was knocked over when I saw how much it went for. I really didn't want to sell it and will be looking to buy another one. I really hated to part with it. If I hadn't put it up for auction the other ones after it wouldn't have come out of mothballs.
