ASM 97 with bad distributor overspray

The book is very tight and problem free with the exception of all this red distrubution spray. I have read where this doesn't affect the book (similar to a printing crease) and have read where it does affect the book....

You know, I wasn't really giving it any hit for the overspray. But I exaggerated the flaws in my mind due to the big scan. Looking at it again, it's more like a 9.0.

looks like a 9.0 to me. The biggest flaw is the wear on the edge of the front cover half way down.

The only things I see are the chip at the top (above and to the right of the g in amazing) and the thumb wear about half way down on the FC right edge.

Yes, 8.5 for me. This is in my top five ASM covers.
