SDCC 2010 Art Acquisitions (Joe Kubert, Jim Cheung, Alvin Lee) and SDCC Photos!

5 posts in this topic

My marathon travels across the USA pre-SDCC and post-SDCC have finally come to a close with my return to Perth (after 19 hours flying and 2 hours waiting for a domestic transfer) today!

I will be putting together a trip report summary later on but wanted to post links to the small number of art acquisitions made during the trip -

Joe Kubert Enemy Ace Sketch -

(This was an unexpected and totally amazing gift from Joe during my visit to his school in New Jersey after SDCC! It was a delight to catch up with him again in person).

Jim Cheung New Avengers Illuminati Page -

(It was a delight to meet Jim in person at SDCC 2010 and I really enjoyed the privilege of having dinner with Jim, Mark Morales, Ted McKeever and Howard Shum - thanks gents! Big thanks to Jim for allowing me to purchase this from him at the show!).

Alvin Lee Shanna the She-Devil Con Piece -

Hi Royd,

Good to hear that you had a safe trip back.

Nice meeting you in person during SDCC and thanks for your assistance in getting the "Chihuahua Pearl" sketch by Colin Wilson.
