Seems to me that this is a prime time to really let people know about the comic series and to try and draw more people towards that medium. Perhaps a Walking Dead documentary that goes into how it all started Heck, mention the TPB's. I don't know what kind of money Image has to throw towards some ads, but it certainly couldn't hurt and it would help some of the budget concerns. Only Kirkman would know, in terms of what was on the table with AMC before the show was picked up.
