It's not beyond the realm of plausibility that they may have received a C&D if they published something that was never released and not intended for dissemination. Ignoring a C&D is pretty dangerous with the potential cost involved. It sound like that email came with a letter attached. It's easy enough to look up the state bar registration of the attorney or firm on the letterhead to see if it's a real entity. I'd be surprised if that happens, but is anyone else afraid that it will? I don't know too much about it, besides that I to deal with an annoying crawl every 10 minutes suggesting that this may happen while watching "The Dead" last week.
