Bugbear time - the Zombies are crashing the fence so the 35 odd survivors are what, sitting looking out the windows as 6 people try to get rid of them?? No "maybe we should help?" thoughts came to them - wtf. And can no-one except Rick tend pigs or Daryl bury the dead? Why have 35 extras if they don't do anything - if the prison was 'real' then there is no way 90% of the people would sit on their behinds while Rick and Co did all the work? I believe it's an adult feeding the rats to the walkers. If you watch that scene again, the person holding the rat is holding it by the tail, and it's hanging down, and the rat is at face level with the walker, it's got to be someone the same height or taller than the walker.
