Signature Series from 1963?!?

Which raises an interesting question...what the oldest signature series book out there? Any Golden Age?

Jeff

I only know of 2 other Golden Age SS books (there might be more, but I don't know). One is a Green Lantern signed by Mart Nodell and the other is a book (not sure which title) signed by Carmine Infantino and Joe Kubert.

There are 13 Signature Series books from before 1955 and earlier.

You guys can research the grades if you're really interested... thumbsup2.gif

All-American Comics 62

Flash Comics 102

Bible Tales for Young Folk 3

Mystic 22

Astonishing 29

Bible Tales for Young People 4

Bible Tales for Young People 5

World's Greatest Songs 1

Spellbound 20

Adventures Into Terror 28

Marvel Tales 128

Astonishing 31

Journey Into Unknown Worlds 33

The oldest Green Lantern that I see is GL 40 (1965).

Of course, these are the books graded as of 1/8/2004... so it's been a little while.

Any idea who it's signed by?

Most likely a Stan Lee file copy.

Hey Alex,

Do you still have that PPSS 27?

Yup!

Can I have it? 893crossfingers-thumb.gif

I know there is a Golden Age Captain America Comics #1, March 1941. Signed by Joe Simon. Does this count? Signed by Joe Simon. I know beacuse I own this book. I bought on ComicConnect last June or July 2009 in Blue universal then had it SS on OCT 09 on his birthday.
