I got this book in a collection. As I pulled it out and looked at cover, 99% sure 9.8, cgc contender. I turned it over and the back was flawless, except the top left corner got folded over when it was put in the bag. :frustrated: What grade would this flaw make a 9.6/9.8 book?

ouch! That is going to take it down a grade or two no doubt I'd open up the book & see how many other pages are bent like that could be more than one which would also affect the grade

Nope, just the back cover. It happened when someone bagged it. Clean fold.

totally bummer...and unfortunate because a 9.6 is out of reach with that flaw.

Not a chance - 9.0 max.

 

Agreed, very possible 8.5.
