How well does Mile High Comics grade?

I think you actually came out alright on that one. Pimpy paid you just less than it cost, and I felt guilty (though I don't know why) and threw in a couple of 35-centers to make your day.

Actually, Metropolis' NM stuff raw isn't too much over guide...

It does kinda depend though, on how old it is - the mid 60s stuff if they say it is NM is around 20% over guide...

If I had to describe MHC's grading in one word, the word that comes to mind is "poor".

I would never grade (or even read) comics while smoking my pipes. Waaayyy too easy to have hot ashes fall on the book! Then we'd have to re-hash to whole, 'holes through the entire book scenario!'

Man, you lose that pipe and we're really in trouble. Grading by "touch and smell" doesn't exactly make me want to buy your NM+ books.

The buyer resubmitted his Amazing Spider-man 129 CGC 9.4 and it came back a 7.5.
