There are indentations on the cover 4-5" long indentations

like someone wrote on a piece of paper over it. 3/8" spine split at the bottom.

I agree it presents as a 7.5 to 8.0, but with the mentioned issues, it'll fall in the 6.5 range I think.

Looks like a 7.0, but with the spine split, I'd say 6.0-6.5...leaning toward the lower grade...

Woah my first thought as 7.5/8.0 too! Don't know how much the spine split will knock the grade down though..

I bought these Surfers as part of a LOT, #1-18 advertised as all VF or better.

Needless to say I was disappointed and returned them.

I think all the color breaking creasing on the right edge and the spine split

keeps this one down to a 5.5.
