JoeyPost made the first suggestion and Jeffro had a great idea about tweaking it...but here is a

possible template that sellers could use for the marketplace.

My suggestion would be that the options for pressed would be Yes, No or ?

I'm hoping for some more suggestions, feedback..etc, because I think disclosure of information is helpful for our community and I hope we can go forward with Nick's polls in a positive manner.

This would be a SUGGESTED template, no jail time involved if you don't use it, but if enough people have a positive reaction, perhaps we could ask if it would not be too much trouble to add it to the rules.

Sharon, Complete would mean checking for things like Marvel stamps missing, coupons cut out, etc., right?

Yes, Nick...and here again, is the link for page counts for GA books...http://twomorrows.com/alterego/media/Golden%20Age%20Index.pdf

I like your template, Sharon, but I would add that it might be easier to include "Rusty Staples", "Date Stamp" & "Complete" under a section called "Notes" - where any defects, anomalies, etc would be listed. For example: light tanning to front/back cover, centerfold detached at lower staple, date stamp on cover, 1/2" tear interior pages, etc. Just a thought

i'm a bit confused. are you talking about slabbed books? isn't 80% of that information included on the label?

This is for all books. It has been stated many times by board members in the past they are unable to see scans at work, and a thorough description would help in deciding whether or not to buy,

I usually try to add the date of issue, and I THINK that list might be a little too much, but if you want to add those...I would read them:) I never can figure out the artists :baiting:

I think more info and standardization are good things, so it sounds good to me. But I'd like to recommend changing the "?" to something like "Not to my knowledge, Senator" lol

Seriously though, I think the question mark seems more open-ended and sinister than it needs to. A lot of people have gotten hung up on the "if you're not the OO, how could you ever say for sure it wasn't pressed." If you're not the OO (or didn't purchase from him/her), saying "I don't know" is the most honest answer, but I think you could get more people saying "no" just to avoid the controversy if the only other option is a question mark.

Just my 2c
