Looked like there wasn't very many kids or teens at the show.

 

Actually, I thought the opposite. Pretty good turnout of youngsters, but of course, the 20-30 something white guy with the $30 in his wallet and butt-crack showing as he looks through longboxes was still the mainstay attendee.

I mentioned yesterday that I wandered into the Indy artists loft and I thought

it was cool that there were some teens producing their own comic books.

Yes, most of the time the production value is low, but I applaud their efforts

and support them by purchasing a few. Some are actually pretty good.

Maybe there is hope for the future of sequential comic art. :applause:

 

Same thing at Seattle's Emerald City comicon the last 2 years. There is a 20 something lady that creates her own elongated comic-zine and sews the binding with her mother's sewing machine. Creative characters with no word bubbles so each kid or person can use their imagination to create their OWN storyline. :applause:
