Golden Age One-Shots
1 1

97 posts in this topic

The thing is at times Avon (who is the main culprit on these one-shots) ran a series with what I would call one-shots. Does that count?

That is, look at the Famous Gangsters series. # 1 does not look like a one-shot but # 2 (Dillinger) and 3 (Lucky Luciano) do ...

I'll check that out.

But I bought a Meteor Comics #1 last night and I think that was the only issue in the series. I was just curious how many orphans like that were rummaging around the GA.

you left off a couple that I am currently selling :baiting:

Unknown Man and Underworld Story... both of which are movie adaptations. (but, they are both scarce enough that I can see why GCD might've skipped them...)

Thanks guys, cool books. I always see a copy or two of the Earthman on Venus book at Chicago. I'd like to get one some day when I finish off a few other runs. I love that big ant on the cover. I was looking at these on Metro's site and they have a title called Captain Savage in the Avon books. I dont see that one on the list either.

Don't do it. It's just a big vat of coolness sucking you in. Just when you think you know what you want, something else pops up that you've just got to have.
