Did Any Comic Creators or Artists Come From Your Hometowns?

25 posts in this topic

Not really my hometown, but I have lived in Hillsboro, Ohio for the last 7 years. There is a sign on the front of our local library that states Hillsboro is the hometown of Milton Caniff of Terry and the Pirates fame.

Funny thing is, I checked out the library and could not find one Terry and the Pirates comic book there, nor any hardback books of the same. :)

You would think they would have one or two on display if they went to all the trouble of putting up a nice sign in front of the place.

hmmm....maybe I should offer them some for display. Wonder if they would do it.

I know the New Yorkers probably have a few, but I was wondering if any one of you guys had one come from some obscure hometowns like me?

I grew up in New Boston, New Hampshire.
