Captain America Comics #16

 

Decent eye appeal with strong colors. It has tape running up about 3/4s of the spine, probably to repair a spine split, and has an extra staple added post manufacture. There looks to be an attempt at very minor amateur color touch on the first A and the P in CAPTAIN on the logo, and a series of indented points, like from a pen or pencil running from the E in AMERICA down to Cap's chest.

 

There is some blue ink bleed through on the inside FC, but appears to be from manufacture as some is where blue would have been used to make green in the printing process.

 

Pages are cream, bordering on light tan, but very supple as is the cover (no tanning).

 

Unfortunately the amazing Red Skull centerfold is missing ( though the story has been reprinted in the Young Allies #1 - Marvel 70th anniversary comic from a year or so ago )

Why did so many people take out their centerfolds to the Cap's? I've been looking for a CF to my 15 for a long time!

Great cover. I used to have this book. I believe the guy whom I got it from said that the oo of this book ripped out the CF... I cannot remember the story exactly its been a while
