PGM Man-Thing #8 Double Cover

After owning for just over 36 years I finally discovered this book has a double cover when reviewing for interior defects after scanning it for sale.

 

I will hold on to this one now, but am a little at a loss as to grade. Most doubles end up with the higher grade of an interior cover, but this one is missing a large piece out of front and back of the second cover, likely missing as part of printing process. All thoughts as to how this one would grade are appreciated.

Yes, those missing pieces are part of the production process. I have a couple of double covers that have that problem, but not to such a large extent as your book.

damn shame because the interior cover looks great other than the big chunk missing. I am going to throw out a wild azz guess here and give it a 7.5 due to the size of the missing piece even though it is production related.

Well it does have one decent cover, and it's the one on the outside. I'd grade it 8.5. I think CGC would note it had an inside cover with a hunk missing.

good point, I was so focused on the interior cover, I totally forgot about the outer cover which is indeed very nice also.
