How do you prefer Hawkman, with or without the wings on his headgear?

Although I like the early Hawkman, the classic look is with the headgear.

Right on, John. The earliest ones are truly outstanding. . .especially the Sorcerer and Shadow Thief stories from #36 IMO; but I do think the winged headgear makes him look more formidable somehow. Especially this cover. If somebody said a superhero armed only with a mace would have to go head to head with an alien ship with high tech laser weaponry, I'd say that the superhero was gonna lose. . .but Hawkman looks about as badåss as any superhero ever drawn on any comic cover. That alien is in SERIOUS trouble.

I liked the way Hawkman looked better before the wings were added to his headgear. He looked more feral and raptor-like before the wings were added.
