Trimpe canceled.

WHAT?!?!?!?! AAGGHHH!!! I sent some books in for his signature... :sorry:

bummer day...

It was very windy and cold. I guessed he decided not to come. So goes with Irwin Hansen. I wanted my GA All-American Green Lantern signed, but he didn't showed either.

But, I did get a Dick Ayers Giant-Man sketch and a Larry Hama Storm Shadow sketch. So all was not lost.

Well I sent some in for Hama too so hopefully those SS went fine.

This one was Absolute Comics booth - I asked for a card

This Alex Needleman's booth. Both guys in the pic have been associated with Gary Platt, the dealer pictured in the last series of pics you put up.

Yes, Alex's name is on the card and the guy standing up was the one who handed it to me. The business name on the card is Absolute Comics. Who is Gary Platt? Good or bad?

I know Gary Platt as a nice nice man, he is also the guy who makes/sells the "wombat" dealer displays for both comics and CGC books(displays pictured above).

Hi Jon, I didn't see you there. I was going to PM you to see if you were going but it was a busy week and I forgot. I didn't know if I was actually going until the day of.

Speedy, I would have liked to met you. Yes, I heard a few dealer complaints as well. I picked up some books that were great finds for me: Batman 222, 227 & 242 all in low grade but I am not that picky.

Hi Jeannine, sorry to have missed you as well. (Kept an eye out for you and Sharon, but honestly it got so crowded that you could have been steps away and I wouldn't have known.)

Congrats on the Bat pickups! Batman 222 and 227 in particular are probably my two favorite books of the bronze age. I've got mid-grades, but would still love to find (reasonable) HG copies of both...maybe someday...!

Gary is one of the best in the business in my opinion.

Love Gary. When I knew nothing about comics (or vintage comics), Gary is the person who educated me in the fundamentals of this hobby.
