I honestly think Frank Miller was just trying to see how bad he could make it and still have DC editors let it get printed

Robinson's Starman was one of the best overall titles of the 90s had high hopes for this that were just plain crushed. Bad plot, bad writing, bad art this had it all

Ironically, cause I started reading comics in earnest with DC's '70s horror line, he was one of the first artists I remember. However he's been long since forgotten. And yes, definitely an acquired taste.
