Damaged CGC Holders

5 posts in this topic

So my recent CGC auctions are just about complete (shipping out most of the rest today). Still have some stragglers, but I digress.

Two buyers contacted me with damaged cases. Now I thought I packed pretty well, but I'm wondering if USPS is getting rougher (if that's possible) or my eyes are failing me in my old(er) age.

The first buyer asked for insurance info, but his books didn't reach the value level where I charge and use insurance. I reimbursed him 7.00 to re-holder and an additional 4.00 to split shipping to CGC. He seemed satisfied with that. The second buyer hasn't requested any kind of compensation, but I'll take care of that sometime in the future.

I know we've already discussed how sellers should handle damaged cases, but I thought they were tougher than they obviously appear to be. I know you can't handle them willy nilly, but jeez.

If any forum members encounter cracked cases you received from me please let me know as I will take the book back or fund you some cash to have it re-holdered. I'm more than willing to make sure you're happy with your books!

They are extremely fragile , I have recieved them with small stress cracks from

CGC even. I pack in priority box surround them in "peanuts". Have not had any

complaints yet. And I have sent out hundreds.

He did a good job on my three books...shipping them over 5000 miles.

All cases arrived in perfect condition, but then of course they were wrapped up in some of his discarded Wonder Woman porno ties...

The books are now in my collection, the 'used' ties buried deep, deep underground shocked.gifcrazy.gifgrin.gif
