This is my first time asking this type of question so I didn't know if this is even the right area to post this or even a appropriate question to ask on the forums at all. I want to sell this book but not sure what it's value is. Any help would be great. A GPA account would be handy here but I don't have use for it often enough to have a regular subscription.

 

Also am I right in assuming that doing a auction style sale in the selling forum other than a fund raiser is generally not allowed?

If you live in America you should send the book to CGC to get it graded and confirmed unrestored.

Thanks for the info Pual, I think I am going to sell it raw as is and give the buyer the option to have me pressing it. I could use the cash so it's going in the sales thread now.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't want to wait on CGC. I got this from an original owner and it's been in a box since the sixties and none of her books had any restoration on them.

Its acceptable to put a high BIN on the book but say you'll consider any and allo ffers and stipulate the offers must be in the public forum. That has the same result as an auction would.

First I want to thank everyone for their input. I wanted to follow up on what Faster Friends and Comicopolis said about the spine roll. I put the book up for sale as is and offered the option of having the spine roll pressed out for $20. The buyer who wishes to remain anonymous requested that I press the book and so I did and took some photos of the work and wanted to share them. I wish I could quote the new owners satisfaction after getting in hand but you will just have to take my word that he is really happy with the book.
