Vega: And The Baroness: Out of curiosity, what's the breakdown on the percentage of artists who know who Vega is, versus those for whom you have to explain/provide references? I'm guessing it might be somewhat dependent on the age of artist, but I've long been curious if you get more of a "who?" response, or a "oh, cool idea" response when you ask for him. Out of all of the artists I have gotten commissions from, Graham Nolan was the only artist who had no clue who Vega was. He said he wasn’t into video games so asked me for some reference pics. Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean everyone else automatically knew Vega right away. I suspect the other artists may have done Google image searches. Surprisingly, I’ve gotten more confirmation requests about The Baroness than Vega. Edited June 17, 2020 by Benedict Judas Hel
Popular Post Spidey 62
Lizard by Rich Hennemann. About $60, and great turnaround. I am doing a run of Spidey villain headshots and this is a welcome addition. Squeezy McSphincter , JadeGiant, cgcsketcherz and 3 others

Two week turnaround. Here is a Magneto I just received from him. cgcsketcherz, Spidey 62, MR SigS and 2 others

That's legitimately shocking to me. I would figure most any/all artists (at least U.S.-based ones) would have a pretty good familiarity with Baroness. Vega just seems more out there, where unless you're fairly deep into vidya games, I could understand you not knowing him by name.

Popular Post comix4fun
This was an interesting one. This pencil piece was a gift from all around good guy and Micronauts fanatic Andrew A. He wanted to see Steve Kurth (Micronauts artist from the early-2000's) take on Baron Karza's Trophy Room and he came up with this (which Andrew then gave to me): More in depth write-up here: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1643712 And all that was left was to find an inker to do it justice and really deliver on the Golden and Guice vibes of the original series. I chose Gary Martin to do that. He didn't disappoint. Done over blue lines so I could preserve the pencils and still get those great Gary Martin inks. Thanks Andrew, it turned out phenomenal!! Popular Post Robert J52
This goes back to the early 80's. Commissioned from Brent Anderson. I suggested the scene with Kitty and Lockheed with the shadow of Juggernaut looming over her. Anderson was very pleased with how it turned out.
