Not impressed by the "variety" of the variants. Kudos to the publisher for essentially selling regional (or local) ads on the covers. interesting from a marketing standpoint.

The owner had talked about getting one of these done, but I didn't realize that it was a promo from IDW. He's a (pardon the pun) GIANT Godzilla fan and I was under the impression he had pulled the trigger on a variant just to do it.

 

Regardless, it's a very cool marketing ploy and while I won't track all of them down, I will try to get a few locally.

That is pretty cool. I am surprised my LCS wasn't involved since he is a big Godzilla fan. Even his blog name has zilla in it. If he got them I would definetly have bought one for fun.
