Question: If Gerry Ross is the charming, honest guy he's being described as on these boards again and again, why is he allowed to set up?

You would have to ask the promoters. The shows I used to do, they didnt allow you back if you sold restored books as unrestored.

Joeypost is a god amongst floridians.

Joe looks so distinguished wearing glasses.

I only wear them to pick up girls. I knew after being at the show for an hour I picked the wrong venue.

lol lol

I've been told there is a thread about Gerry Ross. I haven't seen it. The boards have not been my priority for some time, and I don't read much of the threads.

As much as Gerry acted like I should know who he is when we talked on the phone. I did not and still don't know who he is, or anything about him.

The reason he was allowed to set up is because he wasn't selling banned materials. (Bootlegs or porn) and paid for space.

Would it be different if I knew that he has a bad reputation? I can't really say. Who's word do I take on the matter? Also, I would gladly help a fellow collector out with any information, be it fact or hearsay, about any particular dealer and their practices, but I'm not sure if I would have denied him space or not. I've never dealt with him, he has never set up at one of my shows, so it's hard to make a decision there.

If our attendees complain of poor business practices from any dealer, then I would review the complaint, discuss it with the dealer, and more than likely the dealer would not be invited back.

Sounds about right. I dont doubt you at all Mike, just saying common practice. If it were Danny D, Ewert, etc.. Then we would flame you lol

Blazing Bob's word would be a good place to start:

(Steve Borock calls him a piece of :censored: in this thread too)

Funny mess didn't hit the fan at the con if these guys are so quick to call this guy such a . Makes me wonder if there have ever been blows thrown at any cons (?) Like when Ewert or Hammer show up. I'm sure some have stories...

Like I said. I haven't seen that thread.

I also don't know who Blazing Bob or Steve Borock are either.
