I also found my Kiss Super Special in the box. It is really nice condition - one I'll be submitting for sure.

 

A bunch of other oddities too like this personalized photo still in the 1978 postmarked envelope. I wasn't even old to vote when I got this.

once upon a time those justice machines were expensive books, no? (as in they actually sold for a nice chunk of change). helps they got byrne on #1 when he was comicland's G-d. probably time for a revival of those.

Here's a bit of info found on Acme Comics.

 

This Colorado based fanzine started with the opinion-rich and interesting Fantasian, a digest sized 'zine published by Dennis Pimple and Dan Mares and graduated into a full sized 'zine called Acme Comics which featured both fan strips and articles.
