Blue Bolt V5 #7, from 1945.

Sharp cipy. Suffers from 1/2" split lower spine, and a longish tear along the edge of one interior page, doesn't come near the art. Solid spine and CF, decent amount of gloss. One small spot of water stain on spine, BC.

O'street F is $33, take this home for $15. That's right, fifteen bucks for a pretty WWII vintage comic! I've gone completely nuts! SOLD!

Gangbusters 40, 1954

Solid copy, cover kinda looks picture frame style, doesn't it?

Nice gloss, flat and square, with wear and snaps along the spine, 1/4" tear lower BC, and that's the worst of it. VG? VG+?

Take it home and slap it around for $10! SOLD!

All right! Time for some vintage Atlas books!

Astonishing 45, 1956

Solid book, contains a Bernie Kriegstein story. Flat and clean enough, with moderate general wear, no major flaws, but some light soiling along the spine BC. Call it the high side of VG.

O'street VG is $35, take it for $20 SOLD!

Battle 3, 1951

Early Atlas, but it's your basic G. Nice at first glance, butit has a couple chips out, couple tears BC, one lower edge, one center left, and it's been damp at one time or another there's some discoloration along the spine BC, and uper FC, and it lightly stains the interior along the spine, marking the outer leaf a bit on the last ad page, and lightly touching on another leaf or two besides. Doesn't affect art, the book still reads a treat.

O'street G is $14, take it for $9 SOLD!

Oh, and full disclosure, that tear LH BC has a matching tear on the next three or four interior pages, too. Barely brushes the art, doesn't affect story at all.

Marvel Tales 158

Rough reader. First glance says flat and clean, a closer look shows that this has been damp, damp, damp. Rusted staples, stains migrating from them to the paper, general water staining around the perimiter. That being said, it's still a perfectly nice reader copy...or at least it would be if it didn't have a pretty strong musty basement smell to it.

Oh, and there's a thumbnail sized piece out of the outer edge, upper RH BC

O'street G is $19, take it for $7 SOLD!

Strange Tales 79

Rough reader, with a taped tear upper FC, lt. water along spine and upper BC, 1 x 2 piece off upper LH BC, other minor mayhem. Still a solid spine and CF, and it reads a treat.

This is from December 1960, does that cover layout remind you of any other well known early Marvel key? I knew that Jack occasionally swiped from himself, but this one jumped right out at me. And yet, it's just the layout, the actual art isn't really that similar.

Oh, and O'street lists this issue as a Dr. Strange prototype, for what it's worth.

Personally, I think it's worth $12 and that one of you should buy it! SOLD!
