A little off topic and obscure, but for all you classic rock fans... Found this today flipping through an old British "Avengers and The Savage Sword of Conan" B&W reprint comic. It had some photos of Stan Lee's visit to a British comic convention where he met with the late Marc Bolan from T-Rex and Roy Wood (from ELO and The Move)! Who knew Stan got to meet those guys?

Roy Wood doesn't get the credit he deserves.....some classic 60's hits (Blackberry Way being my favourite). You forgot to mention that he went on to form Wizzard who of course had a number one hit as well.

That guy in the middle looks really zoned.

 

Ahh, these young 'uns. Admittedly T. Rex were never big in the U.S., but Marc Bolan (the stoned one in the middle) is fondly remembered by most Brits of a certain age as glam rock's premier icon, except possibly for Bowie and Ferry. Four number ones and his own T.V. show, don't you know. And the tunes still hold water.

 

But you're right, the man was clearly out of his 'ead......
