Hosting a benefit for a friend...

11 posts in this topic

An invitation for all:

I am opening up my backyard theatre again and hosting a Movie night this week for a

friend heading to Kenya

(Mods if this is frowned upon, let me know and I will take it down).

She is going overseas to help out impoverished families.

She was asked to help raise the funds on her own for the trip

and I wanted to help out.

So if you are around the triangle area and want to drop by and show your support

please do so:

Also, I would like to ask that if you are not a mod and have negative input

please pm or simply save it for another thread.

Thanks

Photos of the back yard theatre, got to see this.

The neighborhood kids love it. And I usually don't charge, but this is a special event.

The screen is pretty bizarre. It's works like the cheesy christmas fan blown lawn ornaments

but this one has a couple of large fans in it. It was about $200...

And it looks like it can be used as a flotation device. Sure looks like you have some fun times.

cool man, I try.

My whole idea for this in the first place was to give back to my subdivision by

providing a night out for families. Sadly there is hardly no such thing as drive-ins any more.

That's pretty cool! My uncle had a screen permanently installed in my grandpas back yard when I was a kid. I would like to get a big projector and screen but the weather out here would just have it collecting dust in the garage
