Yes there is....Remove the freaking tape from the bag before taking the comic out. I had this happen so much that I stopped using tape on bags and tuck the flap inside the bag. It seems to work alright.

criminey, all i find in my old house is newspaper. we have been able to date the addition in the backyard due to the dates on the newspapers used as insulation (I had to replace something) as being done in the 40s. the house proper was built in 1904, but I haven't gone into the walls. i hope there's at least some newspaper insulation in the main walls, then again, my heating bill was $1200 for feb and march, so maybe not.
