Cool book of the day 4/8/04

This book isn't high grade enough to be a "pretty" book of the day, but it's such a cool cover...

 

I just recently acquired this after looking for a decent copy for a very long time. It is one of my all time favorite Superboy covers. 1956 is such a difficult time period to not only find some of these books in decent grade, but in some cases, to find in any grade at all. This is one of those kind of books. According to Overstreet, Superboy #52 begins the silver age issues, so this must be a "atom" age issue. Just look at the size of the comics code seal!

 

 

There is only one slabbed copy of this book, and it's in 7.5

Probably a difficult book to find in any grade, if only anyone was looking.

i was for a while trying to put together worlds finest #50-100, and gave up. certain issues from 60-80 were just impossible in any grade. The superboys i am sure are a similar thing for the mid 50's. Nice looking copy!
