Is Batman 227 the "key" Neal Adams Batman book to have? 4 4

I'm beginnig to think that any Neal Adams book (especially Batman) will be a book to own for many collectors as his work becomes even more appreciated.

I agree completely. The classic Adams' covers have a timeless aesthetic.

The fact that the last 9.8 sold for $42K is also very telling. The issue is highly sought after and is perceived as a solid investment.

I remember bidding on this book when it came to market on Comiclink.  I thought I put in a wildly high bid of $1650.00.  If I remember correctly it sold for 2k, which was close to double the FMV for a non pedigree.   In hindsight, that 2k spent by someone turned out to be a great buy.

It looks like the pendulum has swung back towards #227 vs #251 price-wise again. Now is probably a good time to lock into #251s before they leg up again.

Happy to add this Neal Adams key to my collection.  

The seller and I went on a bit of a roller-coaster ride.  Not through any action of the seller mind you.  They were amazing, attentive and transparent the entire time. We were at the mercy of the delivery service and couldn't figure out why the book would take the route that it did.  The book started its journey in Maryland, USA and would arrive to me in Ontario, Canada.  Simple route rite?  Well when the book made it to New York state it decided to take off for Europe (Belgium) like a college grad avoiding the responsibility of joining the real world. I can only assume the book wanted to take in some chocolate, architecture and Leffe before arriving back in Canada. The seller and I were both happy that it arrived without any issues.
