Love the Supes 243...surprised that it is doing so well. I went with the SW 1 just because it is so 70's it is cool.

I voted for the Supes #243 as well. I didn't think it would attract many votes, but I am pleasantly surprised also! Very John Byrne-ish. There was a reason I liked Byrne's stuff so much in the late 70's early 80's, and I didn't realize until much later what the reason was: he was basically a very good Adams clone.

Let's see if I can put it into an equation...................comic nerds + cleavage or butt = vote. lol

I voted for Avengers #94 and JLA #94 for nostalgia -- bought both off the stands -- but also for classic Adams "chapters" within. The best superhero poster cover has to be Marvel Feature #1 with the Defenders. Best horror just may be Batman #237...

Welcome to the boards, and thanks for participating!

I always loved the cover to Worlds Finest 208.

For some reason, it makes me think of my 5-year-old running around like a maniac and yelling "Maximum Power!!!" (which is from Sponge-Bob, I think).

I actually remember taking a copy of it out of the spinner rack when I was a kid.

It's very interesting to look at Adams' covers chronologically like this. You can actually see him improving.

That's why we'll be stopping this poll after the BA (maybe early copper?). :makepoint:
