I don't make it into the Modern Comics room too much, being a SA/BA collector mostly, but wanted to get your opinions on Alex Ross and company's Kirby: Genesis. I just picked up issue #0 today and was impressed with the artwork and creative way they seem to be pulling some of Kirby's later stuff and earlier unpublished ideas into a cohesive storyline. I am excited to see some new plots come out based on the King's work.

 

Anyone else get this new issue? Thoughts?

I've only see the ads for it but it looks intriguing.

 

If you get to the LCS the #0 issue is a $1.00. # 1 due out in June is of course $3.99.

Bought a couple copies & liked it after reading the first page. This is a real nice treat for Kirby fans. Can't wait to see how Busiek & Ross flesh out the new (or is it old?) Midnight Swan character.
