Wow, nice book, jbud! Outta curiosity, what was the other book you were looking for?

 

So that 400 definitely gets added to my DC horror checklist. Anybody know of any other superhero books that might qualify as being bronze horror? Trying to get my list as complete as possible for when I go a-searching at cons and the like...I think Tec 425 would also qualify, with the spooky Wrightson cover. Any other suggestions, peanut gallery?

 

 

This is a very long thread, but we kinda hit on that somewhere in this thread...there was an I...Vampire appearance in Bold at the end....Destiny appeared in a Superman comic, Bold 94 with the Batman/HOM combo...

oh yeah...the whole mystery thing spilled into the DC superhero books from 1968-1970 or so...plenty of cool Adams covers there Zonker...

As to other horror/ hero don't forget Batman #255 with a neal Adams werewolf story, its a VERY well done Admas effort. Sadly, only Part of the cover is adams/werewolf or I think that book woulf have WAY more street cred. Could you imagine a full-on werewolf cover

Maybe because it's common or because a Batman Adventures show was done on the story!

Good point, those cheesy side panels certainly do distract from the main image. Takes away from the classy look of what could have been a really nice cover. Such is the fate of most 100-pagers even though they are still so cool for other reasons.

And yes I too have thought about how cool that book would be, if as you said.. it was an all Wolf/Bats, Neal Adams Cover..

The Art looks cropped, has anyone ever seen the Original Art for it?
