nice score on the 264, thats a big thorn in my side for later issues above VF. The 261 is the book that got me hookedon HOM as a kid, I have nothing but INTENSE love for that book! Those stories freaked me the hell out as a kid...

oh, and i love HOS145, that freaky black shark man cover is too damng weird! I just recently got a nice copy myself last week.

OH, and Sid, thats one of the best issues of HOS, the cover is just the beginning! I have been turning everyone I can on to that book for a bit over a year now.

it's funny you mentioned that, Matthew. I've only been able to get one copy in HG of these two issues--I lucked out. Finding other surrounding issues (like 215--I have 2 CGC 9.4 copies) are cake by comparison.

 

DiceX--you're killing me with these HG issues. My 284 and 233 sux--if you ever want to sell 'em to me....

 

Matthew--finding HG issues in the 233-250 range still proves to be difficult. Hopefully I will hit some shows this year and wrap up those up.

This was one issue I did read right off the stands. One of the interesting thing in this issue is an editorial about why they moved to 30c (or is it an impending move to 35c)--very interesting read.

I just opened up one of my horror boxes looking for a cool cover to share with you guys and I came across this (don't laugh). Hey, at least it mentions my all-time two favorite horror movies on the cover so it's gotta mean something. Plus it's got KISS. I think it's worthy of this thread.

Found this one last weekend sitting neglected in a longbox in a baseball card shop. Pretty nice (except for the upper right corner) and I couldn't beat the $3 price tag! Number one on Shiver's cover countdown.
