Thanks for those 3 Witching Hour comics by the way.

I have the certified pacific coast 9.0 copy, and raw maybe one or two 9.0 copies. The sad thing is I HAD a certified 9.4. I had purchased it (raw naturally) in 1995 for about $45-$50, had it slabbed, and sold it about 4 years ago for about $275 or so. I could kicjk myself.

I still have the mans PH. number I sold it too. I should call him and make a large offer.but he did not seem the type to want to sell (back then, anyway).

Anyone have an idea of what the FMV of a slabbed 9.4 HOM 175 is/should be? I wonder what I should offer this guy if i call him. $800 is too low??

There's only one HOM #175 in 9.4...and that is in Joe Serpico's collection. That would only be double what he paid. shy.gif

You're wasting your time. He won't sell & he doesn't need money.

You can't blame him for trying... confused-smiley-013.gif I'd personally pay up to $1,500 each for a HOM 175 and 176 in CGC 9.4 with good QP/page quality....with me prescreening the book of course.

Hey guys,

I've been a little quiet on the boards lately... work has been insane.

Bronze Horror isn't my main bag (that'd be DC war) but I have managed to put some nice books together. I've found it interesting following the hot pursuit of House of Mystery books like #174 and #175 in grade. A few years back, I was lucky enough to buy a complete run of House of Secrets #81-154 (minus, of course, the #82) in an average grade of VF+.... there are a few F/VFs and a nice slice of books that would hit the 9.2-9.4 range. ANYWAY, aside from the #92, are there any issues in that run that are scarcer than others in high grade? Anything that suffered from a distribution issue? In short, which of the issues from that run should I get slabbed if I think they can hit a 9.0 or better. Maybe they are all common, but I figured I'd ask.

Hope all are well... I've enjoyed reading the exchanges on the list.

Shep

I owned the Oakland HOM 175 which is a 9.4/9.6 book (RAW). I traded it to someone that still has it. Yes, in retrospect, it was a bad trade.
