Is that issue of HoM the only issue in the run to have the distinction of using a cover swipe (from DC 100-Page Super Spectacular #4) ?

I wondered why that monster looked familiar! Wow, totally missed that. That's the only cover swipe I'm aware of, although the "No one Dies Today" on Unexpected 115 was reused on House of Mystery 208...a "theme" swap if you will.

Goldust snagged two of them. A lot of good stuff in the past week here and on EBay. This whole "restraint" thing sucks.

The prices went for reasonable...not totally weak, but not outrageous either. I would've killed to get those books at those prices; unfortunately I already have all of them. They were almost cheap enough for me to grab some dups for PQ upgrades. The fact that sellers are snagging them indicates to me that the market has dropped enough that some feel they can make a margin on the books on resale. There are lots of books I haven't been able to sell, so I think the genre is stagnant at this time.

 

So in other words...those that want to buy HG books in this genre will not find a better time than now...so jump in!

Well, I hope that's the case. It's funny: my New Year's Resolution (comics-wise) was to focus on two series, SSWS and Unexpected. So far, I've found myself buying Our Army At War and House of Mystery. But they were oh, oh so nice.......

House of Mystery was DC's flagship horror title. It was my favorite when I was reading em off the newstand...and still today (horror wise).
