The semi-final round continues! We began with 460 Neal Adams covers. The boardies have narrowed down the count to 134 covers after the 14 preliminary rounds. The stakes are much higher now, as the cream of the crop from the 5 semi-final rounds will advance to the FINAL round for all the marbles, and prizes for the participants. Eventually we will have a favorite SA/BA Neal Adams vintage cover champion! :acclaim:

This second semi-final round features the last 26 covers from 1968-1969 in chronological order that made the preliminary cut (and a couple from 1970, I wont lie about it).

Every cover remaining is a winner. It is up to you to determine which covers are a cut above the rest. Vote count remains at 8.

Pick what you love, not what you think is popular.

Don't be shy with your comments. Let's hear why you made your choices. Influencing others with commentary is encouraged. :gossip:

The polls are still open in these previous semi-final rounds. Please visit these previous rounds and vote if you have not:

Went with all the HOMs, except 179,

(shrug) Explain? That one may well be my favorite this round. And I had a hard time scraping together 8 votes in this round... :sorry:

It is like excluding one of your children, you don't want too, but somebody has to be left out if you can only pick 5. I just liked the others better but certainly not taking anything away from that book. HOMs are some of my favorite Adams books because the subject matter gave him a lot to work with.

That is a nice Superboy 160...

Not trying to stir the hornet's nest, but I'm not seeing what's so great about this cover? (shrug)

Can't really explain why, but I LOVE that one. I believe it is the only Superboy to make the semi-finals. Something about it speaks to me and many of our other voters.

Where are the Marvel Zombies? Looks like the X-Men covers are all gonna bite the dust unless there is some late support! :o

:hi:

X-Men 58... For me, one of Adams' best ever covers.

My votes ...

House of Mystery 178

Showcase 80

House of Mystery 179

X-Men 58

Tomahawk 123

Brave and Bold 85

Batman 217

House of Mystery 185

The previous semi-final round was quite difficult, using just 4 of my votes - my least favourite period for Adams' covers.
