Top of the cover looks to have been cut. That's why you can see the top of first page. What will this do to the grade? Will this no longer get a universal grade?

Lower grades allow forms of amateur repair....according to the glossary of the Overstreet GG trimming is also regarded a repair.

 

Generally I would say the book is in a 3.0 shape, allowing amateur repair to be present. Maybe a more experienced grader can tell if this repair could also include trimming (of the kind performed here).

 

One could also regard it as a piece of the cover missing, which, to a certain extent, is also allowed in this grade....
