Direct Edition Marvel with no UPC box on cover

There are examples of books that come in two versions

a. direct editions with no UPC box on the cover at all and

b. newsstand versions with bar codes.

I've considered collecting these. Some that I am aware of;

I feel like it didn't happen often, but I could be wrong.

Titles like Dazzler #1 and Marvel Age wouldn't count since there was no newsstand counterpart.

Didn't Star Wars #1 in the 70's have something like this? Something where the newstand had a barcode and the Direct Edition didn't?
