Amazing Spider-Man 342 printing variation

I may have mentioned this before, but has anyone seen this variation:

 

 

I wanted to scan them side by side so you can see the difference in color. I'm sure its just a matter of one of the colors at the printer running low, but it's still pretty cool. Does anyone else have one of these? How common are they?

Mine is more like the left copy. Of course color can vary because of your monitor, but the Black Cat on my copy has a body color more like the building on the left rather than the water tower roof on the right, so that is what I am going on.

It looks like a problem with the blue plate to me. Notice how the Scorpion is much greener on the right.

I have a couple of books in that era with the "purple/blue" variance.

 

At the time, it seemed to matter that I buy both, but I'm sure its nothing more than printing irregularities.
