Opinions on the Artist of this Stinkin' Hippy?

4 posts in this topic

Just found this in a box of stuff I haven't looked at in years. Not sure about the artist. Sort of has an Al Jaffee feel, I think.

Based on the printer's grid strips (or whatever those are called), it would appear that this piece was photographed for reproduction. It also has some numerical notations on the back. Opinions on artist or (extreme longshot) does anyone recognize the image?

Thanks in advance.

Certainly looks like jaffee or one of the other "gang of insufficiently_thoughtful_persons" from Mad. I like the hippie/protest/"relevance" stuff in 60s art. Not quite as evocative a war-themed piece from the 40s, but still reflects the era very nicely.
