oh yeah, forgot mine... think it would be cool to be able to fly in outerspace! check out the planets, black holes, asteroids, visit Galactus, etc... grin.gif

On a serious note: The power to build mind readers for our society.

 

Could you imagine today's society, if no one had the capability to lie.

 

I know there would be obstacles that would hurt like not being able to tell your wife she looks good on a bad hair day for her.

 

*** But look at the great things that would come form this...

 

There would be no doubt about anything!!

Lawyers would be out of work!! (thank god!!)

Get Rich schemes would just die!!

Presidential canidates would be elected out of merit unstead of BS!!

No more rich people slicking out on justice!!

(Enron officials would finally get what was coming to them)

 

I know it's a dream,

but I'm sure everyone laughed when they saw the video phones when they

saw the Jetsons for the first time too.

Of coarse there would be legality issues and this would be built for

the government to use mainly.

 

I just would like to use my power to help this rotten weasel planet the best I could.

 

Could you just imagine if we had this capability when we trained those dirty bastards in Afganistan for aid in the cold war (if there was any inclanation that they would turn into terrorists against us down the road (like 99% of them have) we would of let Russia have them for breakfast!

 

 

 

People lie on an average of 125 times a day!

 

There aren't any morals on this anymore!

 

it just makes me sick!

Actually that's not so bad, compared to those Horror comics I remember growing up.

 

Like the war story, where the soldier received an amulet that granted immortality, so he proceeded to run rampant through the enemy, with no thought to the consequences. He then hit a mine, blew up, lost his legs or something, and after more incidents he gradually lost all of his limbs.

 

Obviously he was immortal but with a catch related to the "he who wears this amulet cannot die" angle. He wasn't actually immortal, he just couldn't die.

 

At the end of the story, he was simply a head in a box, praying that someone would remove the amulet and end his pain.

 

That one really creeped me out, and taught me a lesson about not taking things at their face value, especially if they look too good to be true. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

The big caveat about immortality is: what will happen to the world in the future? Or even further, a billion raised to the power of a billion (and so on) centuries from now, will anything still exist? Will humans have mograted to toher planets before the earth is wasted? Etc. You may find yourself quite healthy and whole, but in a most boring or trying place.

 

And you know, a billion raised to the power of a billion (and so on) centuries is less than a snap of the finger when considering eternity. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif
