I'm surprised that no one is talking about Bedlam NYCC variant on this thread. It's selling for 5 times the cost at NYCC and the black and white is selling for $150-$250.

I think its just too early for that book yet. Let it come and let the public read it and watch what happens. Right now just speculators and a few who have got to read it. Cost is relative though when you got a limited supply like that and alot of buzz about a book that could be really good.

There's a 22 page preview on Comixology that will give you more than the flavor of the book. It's pretty good. You can feel that it's going to be a complex thrill ride. The main character is a disgusting human being. I wonder how well a book can do without redeeming characters and whether or not there will be redemption for any of the characters in Bedlam or just terror? It's definitely interesting and even though Riley's men all look a like to me, the art is beautiful.

I managed to pick up 4x copies of Batman #13 but no Batgirls! On a brighter note I did pick up a Bedlam b&w NYCC variant on eBay for a buy it now price of only £20, it was just listed when I spotted it! Guess they didn't check what it has been going for, lucky me!

I have viewed it. I am not talking about me I am talking about the public in general that got to a local store. The 1st week of November should give us a very accurate picture as all our copies are already bought or ordered. It looks very interesting, but for me I prefer a Revival to this type of book. Not saying I wont like it, its just not my ideal cup of tea for a comic book. I wonder how its appeal will go over with others outside the horror fan.

Die-Cut cover, Death of the Family prelude, 1/2 the print of Batman 13 (estimated), people haven't read it yet (seriously ... wait until you read it. You won't be happy if you paid more than cover price for it.) lol

i don't get batgirl so i probably won't ever read it. i do get batman and i didn't care for the diecut cover. i'll have to see if my local store still has one to read, if it's as bad as you make it out to be i'm interested just for the train wreck curiosity in me.

thanks for the info

I'm not saying it was a bad comic just that it has very little content that is relevant to the Death of the Family crossover. I should have been more clear. I'm sure if you are reading the title that you'd enjoy it.

easy to tear the die-cut cover off if you don't like it.

Sunday's splattering of modern age variant comics to watch thanks to our sponsor Lyria. When you think of comic trends and well written articles about the comic market - think Lyria. :kidaround: (I tease, I tease. but seriously, check out the site.)

This week the market has been pretty exciting. Lots of new books came out of nowhere and moved up the ranking pretty fast. And of course that means lots of variants also moved up the ranking pretty fast. Today I will list all the hot variants that I've noticed moving at a brisk speed on eBay.

  • Amazing Spider-Man #678 MJ Venom Variant
  • Bedlam #1 NYCC Variant already over $110!
  • Uncanny Avengers #1 Deadpool "Call Me Maybe" Sketch Variant
  • Justice League #1 Sketch Variant
  • Batman #13 NYCC Variant $35+
  • Batman #13 Sketch Variant
  • Amazing Spider-Man #692 Fan Expo Variant
  • Batman #13 Joke in Mirror Variant
  • Legends of the Dark Knight Stephen Platt Variant
  • Batgirl #13 die-cut variant
  • Batman #13 die-cut variant
  • Happy #1 Las Vegas variant
  • Bedlam #1 sketch variant
  • Helheim #1 NYCC variant

If anyone in Scotland are still looking for Batman #13, the Forbidden Planet in Edinburgh still has loads including 2x copies of the combo variant. I managed the snagg the last sketch variant they had, and no, don't ask them for Batgirl
