So The Walking Dead #9 has been on my want list for awhile but I've yet to pounce on it. Been watching it on eBay and a month ago most bids didn't go over 30-35 now they're going up over 50-60...I'm slapping myself for not buying sooner. These Walking Dead prices are driving me so nuts it's laughable. Perhaps this is old news but dang...I feel like lately they are stupid expensive. Especially the early ones.

Yes it just drives me nuts cuz I don't have 40 dollars to spend per book to get a good run going. Lord have mercy. Where was I ten years ago?? :ohnoez:

Yes I get it. Low print run. Most popular show on TV. But man...its killin my collecting dreams.

/vent

Just buy my stuff. I'm setting record GPA lows!

I sold a 9 that was most likely a 9.8 here for cover price when nobody wanted it for $5. Probably around 2010 or so. A 10 in the same shape as well. Feel better?

Harley quinn 26 variant still hot, cant keep up with demand!

GL 20 regular and variant still selling.

Now on to simon baz...i saw a few GL 0s sell, and a few fcbd 2012 new 52 sell as well, interesting to see which of these 2 books gets picked by collectors as 1st app.

FCBD 2012 has an unnamed cameo in a 4 page advertisement tease by Jim Lee:

Which has its own history originally being Hal in the sketch pre-production, then the scene ended up being re-drawn by Reis and used in JL 23 :gossip:

JL 23 spread by Reis

IMO GL#0 seems like a no-brainier, but this hobby does stranger things. Cover, full app and origin. I suggest these two, combo seems to be the low print, but I really like the wraparound B&W variant best.

Harley Quinn 23 9.8 just ended at $449.00 :news:

hm With just four bids

I guess that all it takes. Auction started at $25

I should send in my copy

With only two bidders it may have been a very isolated sale of two registry set owners battling. That's about the most sense I can make of it.

Thank you! I was wondering how much exposure baz had in the FCFD 2012 issue.

I agree on issue 0, first cover app, origin, and possible a first full app. Def. going to watch this one to see which one gets chosen.

I'm pretty surprised this has been holding steady for about 4+ months now. The sets are really starting to get some attention too.

Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel

Ultimates is helping and it's a fantastic reading book as well as some awesome artwork. Steady since ALOTBM #1 is a 2 1st appearance book, Blue Marvel and Anti-Man with something stupid low like 17K on comichron numbers for #1. Just checked, 17,305. For a 1st appearance with no variant, that is seriously low. Rest of the books are not common either.

1st app low print run and no variants i think this one still has upwards potential

Great info! I was actually thinking about Baz the other and wondering why he hasn't had more exposure. I was also contemplating getting rid of my #0's out of disappointment, lol. But I guess my new rule is "don't throw anything out, it might be a sleeper"

P.S. I haven't posted in so long, how's everyone doing?
