Comic Connect and Shipping

Has anyone here bought from Comic Connect? I notice they have a system where they ship stock in from the sellers and then out again to the buyers.

 

Does this have an impact on the shipping rates by making them more expensive?

 

I would especially like to hear about the experiences of international buyers.

They are not the quickest shippers on the block but you don't get double shipping charges. The seller pays to get it to them, you pay for them to get it to you.

 

They are a part of Metropolis.

I bought a few nice raw books from them a while back, it took a while for the parcel to get to the UK, but they were worth the wait, I asked for global priority shipping, and they obliged.

They must have some books in the auctions already on hand in their store/warehouse. This auction that just ended Wed night, I won a book and provided credit card payment late Wed night. They charged the credit card today and shipped the book out today as well, which caught me by surprise. I was expecting to have to wait a few weeks before I got a shipping notice.

Not sure, you would have to ask them, the books I got were auction books and some were from the Metropolis site.

That's what I'm worried about, I don't want a sweet $1,000,000.00 deal being ruined by $30.00 international shipping.
