What does a spine split do at top about 1 inch,? 3.0-3.5 is my guess

That is a gorgeous copy of one of my favorite books! It looks 7.0 or so to me without taking the spine split into account. 3.5 seems harsh, but if the split would hit the technical grade that much it would be the prettiest 3.5 out there.

There's no way that book grades out at 3.5. I'm guessing somewhere in the 6.5 with the split...if no split, easy 8.0 IMO...maybe 8.5.

I've got a copy of TOS 44 that looks 8.0 except for a similar spine split. CGC gave it a 6.5. GOD BLESS...

Yeah, 3.5 seems harsh if it's only 1 inch. I'd be ok in the 5.0 range...

 

... I mean, yeah. 3.5. shoot me a price...

No way in hell that's a 3.5 unless somebody pissed their name on the insides.

 

6.0+ Fines can have 1" inch tear even under old school rules if rest of book is sweet.
